Josep Ferrando Architecture + xmade GmbH have been awarded the fifth prize in the invited competition of the extension of the Tribunal Cantonal de Vaud in Lausanne. The geometry of the building is informed directly by the topography of the site: the proposal takes into account the balance between the built volume and the topography of the park, which descends towards the centre of Lausanne. The proposal is actually more a landscape than a building.
